Kenji Tamane competed regularly on floor, rings and vault before the season ended early due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Tamane was a leader in the classroom earning a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
Before Nebraska
Kenji Tamane was a member of the Junior Canadian National Team in both 2018 and 2019. At the 2019 Canadian Championships, Tamane placed fourth on rings. At the 2018 Canadian Cahmpionships, Tamane placed first on rings, second on pommel horse, third in the all-around, fourth on high bar and fifth on parallel bars.
Personal
Kenji was born on Nov. 25, 2001. Tamane is the son of Amanda McKinnie and Alan Tamane. He has two sisters, Michiko and Louise, and one brother, Colin. Tamane also has a cat named Small Cat.
