2008 Review

: Eric Daigle wrapped up his Nebraska gymnastics career as a leader in both the classroom and the gym. During the 2008 season, Daigle earned a career-high score of 15.75 on vault against Oklahoma and Air Force on Jan. 20 en route to his season-best finish of second place. He posted a career-high score of 13.80 on floor exercise against Oklahoma on Feb. 2 before suffering a season-ending injury prior to the last two regular-season competitions.

A co-captain from Omaha, Neb., Daigle earned Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades in the fall of 2007 before capturing MPSF Academic All-Conference honors for the second year in a row during the spring of 2008.

2007 Review: Daigle competed for the Huskers in 2007 after joining the Nebraska program in the spring of 2006. Daigle competed on the vault and high bar consistently for NU throughout the season, earning a season-high score of 8.65. Daigle made a trip to the podium on one occasion in 2007, finishing third on the vault (8.15) in a tie with teammate John Robinson against Air Force on March 17. Daigle was also academically superior in his first season with the Huskers, meriting a selection for both the Big 12 Commissioner’s Fall Honor Roll and the MPSF Academic All-Conference team.

2006 Review: Daigle was added to the Nebraska roster midway through the 2006 season, but did not compete with the team. He worked hard in the classroom, earning a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the spring.

Prior: Daigle was a member of both the National Honor Society and the Honor Roll at Burke High School in Omaha, where he graduated in 2004. While at Burke, Daigle trained with the legendary Phil Cahoy Sr.
