Senior (2023-24)
Evan Myers earned four lineup appearances for Nebraska to open the spring season, beginning with his tie for 19th in the rain-shortened Battle at Briar's Creek (Feb. 5-6). The transfer from Texas A&M matched Hamish Murray for Nebraska's top individual showing on the par-72, 7,175-yard layout in Johns Island, S.C. Myers posted back-to-back rounds of 73 to finish at 146 (+2).

After settling for Nebraska's No. 5 finish in a tie for 79th with a 230 (+30) at The Gator (Feb. 16-17), Myers matched Murray with Nebraska's best finish again in a tie for 19th at The Johnnie-O at Sea Island (March 11-12). Myers opened with a Nebraska career-best 68 (-4), before adding back-to-back rounds of 73 to finish at 214 (-2) on the 7,060-yard layout of the Plantation Course at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga.

Myers made his fourth straight lineup appearance at the Calusa Cup (April 8-9), finishing 42nd at 239 (+23) on a 7,320-yard layout at the Calusa Pines Golf Club in Naples, Fla.

He finished the 2023-24 season with a 75.36 stroke average over 11 rounds.

Before Nebraska
Myers came to Nebraska with two years of eligibility remaining for the Huskers after spending his first four college seasons at Texas A&M. 

As a junior in 2022-23, Myers produced a 73.13 stroke average over eight rounds, including a fifth-place individual finish at the Badger Invitational with a two-round total of 146 at the rain-shortened event in Verona, Wis. (Sept. 11-13).

He added a tie for 13th with a 215 (72-71-72) at the Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational  at Lake Conroe Golf Course (April 3-4), before closing his A&M career with a tie for 50th with a 224 (73-77-74) at the Aggie Invitational at the Traditions Golf Club (April 10-11).

As a sophomore in 2021-22, Myers competed in four tournaments, including an eighth-place tie individually with a 223 (71-75-77) at the Aggie Invitational. He added a tie for 49th with a 221 (78-71-72) while playing as an individual outside the Aggie lineup at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, La. (March 14-15). Myers also competed as an individual at the John Burns Intercollegiate in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii (Feb. 17-19), tying for 52nd with a 222 (75-68-69) that included a career-best 68 in the second round at the Ocean Course at Hokuala.

He opened 2021-22 by tying for second at the Bosque River Classic in Waco, Texas (Sept. 20-21). He fired a career-best three-round total of 214 (74-70-70) on the par-72, 7,478-yard layout at Bear Ridge Golf Club.

He added a victory with a final-round 66 (-6) to finish with a 281 (73-71-71-66) at the Dixie Amateur at Eagle Trace Golf Club in Coral Springs, Fla. (Dec. 18-19).

 In the summer of 2022, Myers fired a 66 in the second round at the 121st Wisconsin State Amateur Championship.

He did not compete for Texas A&M during a COVID season in 2020-21, after redshirting as a true freshman in 2019-20.

A native of Northbrook, Ill., Myers closed his high school senior season at Glenbrook North after competing at Carmel Catholic during his sophomore and junior seasons. 

A talented multi-sport athlete, Myers was an all-conference performer in both golf and basketball, while earning all-state honors on the course at Carmel Catholic as a junior in 2017-18. He was also the Class 3A three-point state champion as a sophomore at Carmel Catholic in 2016-17. He missed his senior athletic seasons after suffering a knee injury.

However, he returned to the course to compete in the Western Junior for the second straight year in 2019. He was also the runner-up at the IJGA Player-of-the-Year Championship in 2017. 

Personal
The son of Alan and Shelley Myers, Evan has a brother, Eli, and a sister, Alexis. He is pursuing a degree in strategic marketing and earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters of 2023-24. He was a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll at Texas A&M.
