Senior (2011-12)
Scott Willman played in every tournament for the Huskers during his senior campaign, averaging a team-best 73.24 strokes per round. Willman opened the season with a top-10 finish at the Fairway Club Invitational, where he fired a career-low round of 67 in the second round. He finished the fall season with top-20 finishes in all five tournaments. Willman opened his spring season in the Big Ten Match Play with a 2&1 victory over Michigan State's Dan Ellis. Willman followed that with a tie-for-27th at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, which earned him his first of two Big Ten player-of-the-week awards. He earned three consecutive top-10 finishes after that at the Jackrabbit Invitational (T-5th), the Denver Desert Shootout (T-6th) and the Mizzou Intercollegiate (7th). At the Denver Desert Shootout, he fired a career-low 54-hole score of 7-under-par 209. Willman competed as an individual at the NCAA Regional in Norman, Okla., following the regular season. He tied for 40th, shooting 227 over three rounds at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club. During Willman's stellar senior season, he carded 15 rounds better than par, including four in the 60s, while garnering nine top-20 finishes, four of which were top 10s. He led the Huskers in nine of 11 tournaments during his senior season.

Junior (2010-11)
Willman was one of three players featured in the NU lineup for every tournament during 2010-11. Willman started his junior season with a tie for first at the Creighton Dual after shooting a 1-under-par 70. He followed with two consecutive top-15 finshes, beginning with a tie for 13th at the Fairway Club Invitational, before adding a tie for eighth at the Kansas Invitational. Later in the fall, Willman led the team with a tie for 11th at the UMKC Bill Ross Intercollegiate. Willman produced two additional top-15 results in the spring with the first coming at the Jackrabbit Invitational, where he tied for 14th. His added a tie for seventh at the Mizzou Intercollegiate. Willman ranked second on the team with a 74.64 stroke average, and his score counted toward the team total in 30 out of 36 rounds, which also ranked second on the team. Willman produced a season-low round of 68 on two occasions during the season and broke 80 in 35 of 36 rounds.

Sophomore (2009-10)
Willman was one of four Huskers to compete in the team lineup in all 37 rounds on the season. He recorded three top-10 finishes, a low 54-hole score of 211 and a 74.68 stroke average in his second year with the Big Red. His stroke average ranked third on the team. Willman was particularly impressive in the fall, scoring a 73.40 average and earning a career-best tie for second at the UMKC Bill Ross Intercollegiate. Willman tied for seventh at the Jackrabbit Invitational in the spring with a 220, helping the Huskers to their first team title in four years.

Freshman (2008-09)
Willman notched a successful first season as a Husker, highlighted by a strong spring. He competed in 25 rounds and finished with a 76.08 stroke average on the year. After competing twice in the fall, Willman became a regular for the Huskers in the spring, playing in all seven tournaments and earning a tie for 13th at the Troy Invitational to lead the Huskers. At the Husker Shootout triangular in March, Willman tied for sixth after posting rounds of 75 and 73. He scored a season-best 71 twice at the Desert Shootout en route to posting a season-best 215. At the Big 12 Championships, Willman finished with the second-best score for the Huskers, as he tied for 41st with a 306. Willman also earned a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the fall of 2008.

Before Nebraska
Willman graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in Shawnee, Kan. In his senior year, Willman finished sixth at the Kansas 6A state tournament, helping lead the Lancers to their first team state title since 2001. In 2006, as a sophomore, Willman tied for second at the Kansas 6A state tournament. Following his outstanding sophomore season, he earned All-Sunflower League, All-Johnson County and honorable-mention All-Kansas City accolades. Willman finished third in the Sunflower League in 2007. He repeated as a member of the All-Sunflower League and earned second-team All-Johnson County honors. Willman, an honor-roll student, also excelled in the amateur ranks. He competed in various American Junior Golf Association tournaments. In the summer of 2007, Willman tied for sixth at the Oak Tree Junior Championship and he tied for 11th at the Lockton/Capitol Federal Kansas City Junior Championship.

Personal
Scott is the son of Steve and Diana Willman and has one sister, Anne. Scott was born on March 23, 1990. He majored in business administration and earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in December of 2012. He claimed a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll in 2008.
