Senior (2012-13)
Kevin Gillick opened his senior campaign with a tie for first at the Fairway Club Invitational. He fired a second-round 69 at ArborLinks that led to a 3-over-par 219 total for the tournament. Gillick achieved his second-best finish of the season in the following tournament, tying for 39th at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate. He didn't appear in the final three tournaments of the fall but made four starts in the spring, going 2-1-0 at the Big Ten Match Play in February. 

Junior (2011-12)
After not playing in the season-opening Fairway Club Invitational, Gillick competed in four consecutive tournaments for the Huskers, compiling a 77.42 stroke average in 12 rounds. Gillick achieved his best finish of the season in his first appearance, tying for 52nd at the Kansas Invitational. However, his best 54-hole score occurred at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate three tournaments later, where he shot 227.

For his work in the classroom, Gillick claimed academic All-Big Ten honors in 2012, and he was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll during both semesters.

Before Nebraska
Gillick was a transfer from the University of Denver, where he played for two years. Gillick played in eight tournaments as a freshman, earning his best finish, 43rd, at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. As a sophomore, Gillick competed in four tournaments, finishing the season with a 78.00 stroke average. Gillick was named to the Sun Belt Commissioner's List for his work in the classroom in 2010 and 2011.  

Gillick played for Lincoln Pius X High School, earning all-state honors in 2006, 2007 and 2009. He was named captain of the all-state team in 2009, earning a tie for seventh at the state tournament. In 2007, Gillick tied for fifth, leading the Thunderbolts to a runner-up finish. As a freshman in 2006, Gillick earned a tie for sixth. He is also a two-time member of the Nebraska Junior Cup Team.  During his junior year of high school, Gillick played for Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale, Ariz., helping the team win a state championship in 2007.

Personal
Kevin is the son of Tony and Lydia Gillick and has two siblings, Abbey and Anthony. Kevin was born on May 14, 1991. A finance major, Gillick earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2013. He also claimed academic All-Big Ten accolades in 2012 and 2013. He captured spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters of 2011-12 and 2012-13.
