Senior (2014-15)
Reinertson had a standout senior season, playing in every tournament in 2014-15. He compiled a 75.84 stroke average in 32 rounds, earning two top-20 finishes and three rounds in the 60s. Reinertson led the Huskers in five of their 11 stroke play tournaments and notched his best 54-hole score at the Denver Desert Shootout by firing a 4-under-par 212 with the help of a career-best 67 in the first round. Reinertson earned his best finish of the season at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate by finishing tied for 11th place at 7-over-par.


Junior (2013-14)

After sitting out of every tournament in the fall, Reinertson used consistent play in the spring to become a leader for the Huskers at the end of the season. He managed a 73.85 stroke average in 13 rounds, highlighted by a fifth-place finish at the Oak Hill Intercollegiate. In his first stroke-play appearance of the season, Reinertson fired three rounds of 71 en route to a 3-under-par 213 total and a tie for 29th at the Desert Shootout. At the Hawkeye Invitational, Reinertson led the Huskers with a tie for 16th at 5-over-par 221. He also competed at the Big Ten Championships, where he tied for 44th at 309.

Sophomore (2012-13)
Reinertson made one appearance in 2012-13, competing at the Big Ten Match Play in February. He dropped his lone match to Minnesota’s Jon Trasamar, 1 Down.

Redshirt Freshman (2011-12)
Reinertson competed at the Fairway Club Invitational, where he finished 69th. He compiled an 88.00 stroke average for the season. In the classroom, Reinertson earned Academic All-Big Ten honors as well as Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll accolades. He earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during both semesters, which helped him earn the Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Award.

Reinertson redshirted during his first year in the Husker program.

Before Nebraska
Reinertson was the Class C state champion in 2007 as a freshman at Gibbon High School and finished second in 2008. He recorded four top-five finishes at the state tournament in his career, as he finished fifth and tied for fourth in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Reinertson was also named the 2008 Nebraska Junior Amateur Golfer of the Year after winning the Nebraska Junior Match Play Championship that year. In the summer of 2009, Reinertson was the runner-up at the Nebraska Junior Amateur Championship and tied for 10th at the Nebraska Men’s Amateur.

Personal
Josh is the son of Paul and Carolyn Reinertson and has two brothers, Jordan and Rylee. Jordan golfed for the Huskers from 2009 to 2013. Josh was born on May 5, 1991. An accounting major, Josh is a four-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, while also earning Academic All-Big Ten honors in both 2014 and 2015. He is an eight-time selection to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and earned two spots on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. In 2014, he was named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
