Himesh Patel did not compete for the Huskers in the fall and joined the team for the second semester.

Before Nebraska
Patel was named the Nottingshire County Player of the Year in 1999. He was also the runner-up in the 1997 Nottingshire Boy's Tournament.

Personal
Patel joins Marty Smith as one of two British players on the team. He has one sister, Rohini (16) and is the son of Asha and Kirit Patel. He is undecided on a major. He was born on Dec. 7, 1979.
