Freshman (2004-05)
Freshman Geoff Mead brings an impressive golf resume to Nebraska after a standout prep career in South Dakota. Mead competed as an individual in one fall tournament and will battle for a position in Nebraska’s lineup. Coach Bill Spangler said Mead boasts the most impressive junior resume among Nebraska’s freshman class, and he expects Mead to become a valuable performer in the Husker program. Mead played as an individual in Nebraska’s Fairway Club Invitational and finished in 58th place with a 253 total.
Before Nebraska
Mead captured the Class "AA" South Dakota state championship as a junior in 2003 at Rapid City Stevens High School.
