Patricia Peterson

Patty Peterson is in her 19th year with Nebraska Athletics and second as Senior Associate Athletic Director - Compliance after being promoted in 2024. 

Peterson leads a compliance staff of five members that ensure the conduct and operations of Nebraska’s 24 athletic teams are in compliance with NCAA and Big Ten Conference rules and regulations. She also serves as the sport administrator for bowling and the secondary administrator for men’s basketball.

A native of Omaha and a graduate of Burke High School, Peterson earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2003. She continued her education by earning her juris doctorate from the Nebraska College of Law in 2006. She lives in Lincoln with her dog, Charlie.
