2019-20 (JUNIOR)
Jervay Green filled several roles during his first season at Nebraska after transferring from Western Nebraska Community College. He played in 28 games, including 15 starts, and averaged 8.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Green was second on the team with 54 assists, including four games with at least five assists.

Green started the Huskers’ first nine contests and put together five double-figure efforts in that stretch, including an 18-point, eight rebound effort in 46 minutes against Southern Utah. His best performance of the year came in the Huskers’ overtime win over Southern on Nov. 22, when he scored a season-high 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting and dished out a personal best six assists. He got the Huskers going in overtime, hitting consecutive 3-pointers as NU opened the extra session with a 10-0 run to put the game away. Green also helped NU to a victory over Washington State in the Cayman Islands Classic with 16 points and tied his personal best with eight rebounds.

He missed a pair of games in mid-December before struggling to find a spot in the Huskers’ rotation for nearly a month. Green patiently waited for an opportunity and it happened at No. 17 Iowa when he came off the bench and hit 8-of-12 shots as part of an 18-point, seven-rebound performance against the Hawkeyes. That effort helped him regain a spot in the starting lineup, as he started six of the Huskers’ final nine contests. Green closed the year with a pair of 15-point efforts at Minnesota and against Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament, as he tallied 15 points, eight boards and four assists in 32 minutes against the Hoosiers.

BEFORE NEBRASKA
Green came to Nebraska after a decorated career at Western Nebraska Community College playing for Coach Cory Fehringer. He was rated as the No. 8 player nationally and No. 2 combo guard in the class of 2019. Green is the third WNCC product to play for the Huskers and first scholarship player since Bernard Garner in the mid-1990s.

As a sophomore, he garnered second-team NJCAA All-America honors, averaging 23.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. Green shot 55 percent from the field, including 39 percent from 3-point range, while knocking down 2.7 3-pointers per game. He ranked eighth nationally in scoring, as Western Nebraska CC finished with a 24-8 record. For his efforts, he was the South Region IX Player of the Year and was Co-Player of the Year in all of Region IX in 2019.  Green was in double figures in 31 of 32 contests, and had 19 games with at least 20 points during his sophomore campaign. He had six 30-point games, including a school-record 51 point performance against Iowa Lakes CC, which included 10-of-14 from 3-point range. He also had a 44-point effort against the College of Southern Idaho, a 40-point game against Laramie County Community College and 38 points against Casper College in the Region IX semifinals.  He totaled three double-doubles on the year, including a 26-point, 14-assist effort against North Platte CC.

As a freshman, he averaged 14.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.7 steals a game in helping Western Nebraska CC to a 27-8 record and the program’s first regional title in 17 years in 2018. He finished the year scoring in double figures in 23 of the team’s last 24 games, culminating with a 35-point effort against Central Wyoming College at the regional tournament.
Green graduated from Denver's George Washington High School where he averaged nearly 20 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals for a team that went 25-3 and was the Class 5A runner-up as a senior. He scored over 1,000 points in high school and set the school’s single-game scoring record with 64 points, breaking the mark held by former NBA star Chauncey Billups.
