2019-20 (FRESHMAN)
Easley served as the Huskers’ backup point guard as a true freshman, playing in 28 games and averaging 1.9 points and 0.5 assists per game in 11.7 minutes per contest. Easley saw limited time early in the season, playing just total 10 minutes in the Huskers’ first 10 games before earning more playing time as the season progressed, earning a scholarship for the spring semester.  He made four starts, including the final two games of the regular season and the Big Ten Tournament contest against Indiana.  Easley tallied five or more points in six occasions, highlighted a season-high eight points, including a pair of 3-pointer, and three steals in 16 minutes against Indiana. He also had seven points at Rutgers and at Iowa, when he dished out three assists against the Hawkeyes. Easley was a favor on the defensive end, notching multiple steals five teams, including three steals against the Hoosiers and against Michigan.

BEFORE NEBRASKA
Charlie Easley was a three-year starter and finished with a school-record 1,412 points playing for Coach Brian Spicka. Easley earned first-team All-Nebraska honors from the Omaha World-Herald and first-team Super-State accolades from the Lincoln Journal Star as a senior after leading Pius X to a 27-2 record and a Class B state tournament title. The co-captain of the Journal Star’s all-state team, he averaged 23.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.1 steals per game as a senior to pace the Thunderbolts in all four categories. Easley shot 51 percent from the field, including 45 percent from the 3-point line, and 86 percent from the foul line. He was in double figures in all 29 games, including four 30-point games. Easley shined in the Class B state title game, totaling 25 points, 12 rebounds and six assists in a double-overtime win over Omaha Roncalli. For his efforts, he was selected as the captain of the all-state tournament team among all six classes.

Easley garnered third-team All-Nebraska honors from the World-Herald as a junior, averaging 17.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.9 steals per game, as Pius X went 16-9 before falling to eventual state champion Creighton Prep in triple overtime in the first round of the Class A state tournament.  He made an impact as a sophomore, averaging 13.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.7 steals per game. In the classroom, Easley was an Academic All-State honoree by the Journal Star and was a member of the honor roll at Pius X High School.
Easley played AAU ball for the Omaha Sports Academy and Coach Andy King. Easley was teammates with fellow Husker freshmen Akol Arop, Jace Piatkowski and Bret Porter on the AAU circuit.

PERSONAL
Charlie is the son of Ed and Tiffany Easley and was both on Nov. 27, 2000, in Lincoln, Neb. Easley has one older brother (Jack), two younger brothers (Sam and Thomas) and a younger sister (Emma). Easley's father played collegiately at Nebraska Wesleyan. Charlie is a business administration major in UNL's College of Business.
