Mike Diacos joined the Husker program as an invited walk-on for the 2007-08 season. <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

After playing his first three years of high school ball at OaksChristianHigh School, Diacos transferred to CamarilloHigh School as a senior and averaged career highs with 12 points and five assists per game for Coach Mike Prewitt. Diacos helped Camarillo to a 19-10 overall record and the Pacific View League championship, including a trip to the semifinals of the CIF-SS in 2007.

Against Channel Islands, Diacos posted a school-record 15 assists to go with 24 points and he added a career-high 28 points, including six 3-pointers, against BonanzaHigh School in Las Vegas. Following his senior season he was named first-team all-county and all-league, and was selected to play in the Ventura County All-Star Game.

As a junior and sophomore, Diacos averaged 10 points and four assists per game. During the summer season, Diacos played with the Los Angeles Rockfish AAU squad, and helped the team to an Elite Eight appearance at the highly touted adidas Super 64.

Mike is the son of Ann Cooluris and Dennis Diacos, and was born on June 21, 1988. He has one brother, Chris, and one sister, Carolyn.
