Tom Wald was a vital part in the Huskers' two postseason tournament runs in both 1994-95, when the Huskers made it to the NCAA Tournament, and 1995-96, when the Huskers won the NIT title. Over his two-year career, Wald scored 438 points for an average of 7.3 per game. He also had a 1.63 assist-to-turnover ratio and shot nearly 80 percent from the free throw line in his career. He was the only Husker to record an assist in every game as junior in 1994-95, was third on the team in scoring and second in assists. He led the Huskers in three-point percentage as a senior in 1995-96, shooting at a 46.7 percent rate (21-of-45).
