1978-79
During the 1978-79 campaign, Curt Hedberg played in 26 games and started seven games for Nebraska. He scored two high games of 10 points each and two high rebounding games of six boards each. Following his senior season, Hedberg was named a first-team academic All-Big Eight selection.

1977-78

Hedberg averaged 6.8 points and 4.1 rebounds during his junior season. In 14 Big Eight games, Hedberg upped his averages to 7.2 points and 4.5 rebounds. Hedberg’s bests for the year were 17 points against Colorado and nine rebounds at Iowa State. He had the team's single-game high with nine assists twice, first against Montana State and then Colorado. He started 29 of 30 games for Nebraska overall. An excellent student, Hedberg earned first-team academic All-Big Eight honors and fifth-team academic All-America accolades with a 3.50 grade point average.

 

1976-77
Hedberg lettered as an alternate forward. He posted 3.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. Hedberg tied for game-high honors with 16 points against Iowa State, matching teammate Carl McPipe's total. Hedberg also added a season-best nine boards in the game.

 

1975-76
Hedberg redshirted during the 1975-76 season, which enabled him to earn his degree in architecture in the summer of 1978 before playing his final season as a graduate.

 

1974-75
Hedberg lettered his freshman season with Nebraska while playing in 17 contests, averaging just over a point and a rebound per game.

 

At Lincoln East High School
In 1974 during his senior year at Lincoln East High School under coach Paul Forch, Hedberg led the Spartans to the Class A state championship game. During his senior prep campaign, Hedberg earned all-state, all-tournament and all-city honors.

Hedberg was born on Dec. 1, 1955, to parents Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hedberg.
