BEFORE NEBRASKA
Will Cooper came off the bench for Air Force last season as a true freshman in 2024-25, averaging 5.3 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in 15.1 minutes per game. He shot 38 percent from 3-point range and 82 pecent from the foul line while appearing in 21 contests. Cooper saw the majority of his action during Mountain West Conference play, where he averaged 6.2 ppg while shooting 48 percent from the field and 46 percent from 3-point range. Over his final six contests, he averaged 11.8 ppg on 52 percent shooting for the Falcons and Coach Joe Scott, including 14-of-30 from 3-point range. He totaled four games in double figures, highlighted by a season-high 21-point effort in a win over Fresno State, where he connected on six 3-pointers. He also posted double-figure games against Utah State (16), New Mexico (14) and San Jose State (10). In the performances against Utah State and New Mexico, he went a combined 7-of-9 from 3-point range.
Cooper played at Millard South High School for Coach Tim Leuschen for four seasons. He averaged 16.2 ppg and 7.2 rpg as a senior but played just five games because of an injury and just eight games as a junior. During his sophomore season, he averaged 10.7 ppg, while hitting 53 3-pointers and was a 39 percent shooter from 3-point range as a freshman, helping Millard South advance to the 2021 Class A State Tournament at Pinnacle Bank Arena. He was a member of the honor roll all four years at Millard South. Cooper played AAU basketball with both ETG Midwest for Coach Alvin Mitchell and the Factory for Coach Braxton Murphy.
PERSONAL
Will is the son of Debbie and Todd Cooper, and majors in biological sciences with the intention of going pre-med. He has two brothers, Jack and Sam. Cooper had attended Fred Hoiberg Basketball Camps as a high schooler.
