Playing for just two seasons with the Huskers, Steffon Bradford dominated the paint and when joined by center Kimani Ffriend, gave Nebraska one of the top-if not the top-interior tandems in the rugged Big 12 Conference in the 2000-01 season.

Bradford joined the Huskers after two seasons at Compton Community College, where he earned JUCO All-America honors from several publications. In his first season with the Huskers, Bradford moved immediately into the starting lineup, playing 30 games in his inaugural season while compiling the team's second-best rebound average at 8.1 boards per game.

In 2000-01, Bradford continued to show a consistent effort on the glass, as the Clewiston, Fla., native again averaged 8.1 rebounds per contest to rank second on the squad. However, the area he improved in the most was shooting percentage, hitting 60.3 percent from the floor to rank third in the conference and in the top 10 in the nation. He gave NU two of the nation's field-goal percentage leaders, as Kimani Ffriend also ranked in the top five.
