Nick Janowski starred for Coach David Burkemper at Pewaukee (Wis.) High School for four seasons. A four-star recruit by ESPN.com, he was ranked among the nation’s top 125 seniors by both 247Sports and Rivals and was a top-150 pick by On3. He is ranked among the top 25 shooting guards in the class by all four major recruiting services. During his four seasons, he totaled a school-record 2,297 points, 606 rebounds and 357 assists and helped his team to three state titles, a runner-up finish and a 106-14 combined record. As a senior, he repeated on the WBCA Division 2 All-State Team, as he led Pewaukee to a 30-5 record and a state runner-up finish. Janowski averaged 30.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game as a senior, while shooting 53 percent from the field, 37 percent from 3-point range, and 84 percent from the line. He posted five 40-point games on the year, including a career-high 46-point game, and had a triple-double in the state semifinals against West Salem with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. As a junior, he earned first team all-state honors, averaging 23.2 points, 4.9 assists, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game as Pewaukee went 27-3 on the season.  For his career, Janowski averaged 20.1 points, 3.4 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game while shooting 54 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range as he hit 294 3-pointers in his prep career. Janowski played AAU for Phenom U in the EYBL circuit, helping his team to the Peach Jam in 2021 and 2022, including an Elite Eight finish in 2022. A member of the honor roll at Pewaukee High School, Janowski selected Nebraska over a host of schools including Iowa State, Wisconsin, Marquette and USC. 

PERSONAL
The son of Jen and Brian Janowski, Nick was born on Oct. 25, 2005, in Oconomowoc, Wis. He has one older brother (Ashton) and a younger sister (Giselle). Nick is majoring in sports management/business at Nebraska.
