Kadyn Betts played in nine games at Montana in 2025-26 before his season was cut short by injury in mid-January, as he averaged 31 points and 1.1 rebounds per game on 56 percent shooting. He had a season-high nine points in the season opener and had six points on 2-of-3 shooting, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, against Montana State.
He spent his first three collegiate seasons at Minnesota after reclassifying to the class of 2022. After redshirting his first season, he appeared in 30 games for Minnesota during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons. As a redshirt sophomore, he appeared in 22 games off the bench, totaling 30 points and 10 rebounds in 106 minutes of work. He has a season-high six points on 2-of-2 shooting from 3-point range against Illinois and five points in six minutes of work against Central Michigan. As a redshirt freshman, he had his Minnesota career high with seven points and two assists against in 18 minutes against IUPUI
Betts was ranked No. 87 nationally by PrepHoops in the class of 2023 when he reclassified and graduated from Pueblo Central in 2022. As a junior, he averaged 22.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.6 blocks, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per game as a junior to earn first-team Class 4A all-state honors. He helped Pueblo Central to a 23-3 record and a state semifinal appearance. He played AAU basketball with the P.L.U.T.O. Prospects. Betts comes from an athletic family, as his father, Kevin, played at San Diego State while his older brother, Kobi, played at Air Force and Colorado School of Mines.
