Derrick Chandler had an outstanding two-year run in a Husker uniform, scoring over 700 points and pulling down nearly 500 rebounds. Chandler made an immediate impact as a junior in 1991-92 after spending his first two seasons at Alvin Community College. He blocked a single-season school-record 91 shots that year, a record that still stands today, and is sixth on the all-time blocked shots list despite playing just tow years. He was second on the team in scoring in both years, averaging 12.3 points per game as a junior and 11.2 points per game as a senior. Chandler started 58 of 60 career games for Nebraska.
