2022 (Sophomore)
Zach Weinmaster played in every game in 2022 as a prominent member of Nebraska's special teams. He had a 15-yard kickoff return against North Dakota, an 18-yard return against Georgia Southern, a 20-yard return at Purdue and a 14-yard return against Illinois. Weinmaster had a tackle on kickoff coverage at No. 3 Michigan. The next week against Wisconsin he had an 18-yard kickoff return.

2021 (Redshirt Freshman)
Weinmaster played in all 12 games in 2021. He had a four-yard carry in the Huskers’ win over Northwestern. Weinmaster made a tackle on kickoff coverage against No. 9 Michigan. Against Purdue, he had a 20-yard kickoff return.

2020 (Covid Season)
Weinmaster served as Nebraska's holder for the win at Rutgers, while also providing depth at running back during his redshirt freshman season.

2019 (Redshirt)
Weinmaster played in two game and redshirted a true freshman walk-on. Weinmaster made his Husker debut on special teams at Purdue in the final game of October, and he returned a kickoff for 30 yards against the Boilermakers. He also returned two kickoffs against No. 15 Wisconsin.

Before Nebraska (Loveland HS)
Weinmaster joined the Nebraska program after a prep career as one of the top offensive players in Colorado, rushing for nearly 5,000 yards in his final three seasons. Weinmaster helped Loveland High School to a perfect 14-0 record and a Class 4A state championship in 2018. He rushed 250 times for 2,004 yards and 30 touchdowns and was one of only seven players in Colorado to rush for 2,000 yards. He added 117 receiving yards, along with 38 tackles, five interceptions and three fumbles caused from his defensive back spot. As a junior, Weinmaster helped Coach Wayne McGinn’s team to an 11-1 record and a trip to the state playoffs. Weinmaster rushed for 1,546 yards and 26 touchdowns, while adding a receiving touchdown, and earned first-team Class 4A all-state honors. Weinmaster earned honorable-mention all-state accolades as a sophomore when he rushed for 1,274 yards and nine touchdowns to help his team to a 9-4 record. 

Personal
Zach was born on March 28, 2001, and he is the son of Eric and Sherril Weinmaster. His brother, Jacob, was a two-year letterwinner at linebacker for Nebraska in 2017 and 2018. Zach is a graphic design major. Weinmaster volunteered with a Day of Service, FCA, Husker Heroes, the Nebraska Football Race and local hospital visits.
