Andrew Verboys is in his second season on the Nebraska coaching staff in 2026. Verboys works with the Husker wide receivers after spending three seasons at Kentucky.
In his first season on staff in 2025, Nebraska's wide receivers combined for 17 touchdown catches after NU wideouts had just 15 touchdown receptions in the 2023 and 2024 seasons combined. The wide receivers also helped Nebraska set a season record for completion percentage. Nebraska also had three wideout with five or more touchdown receptions for the first time in program history.
Verboys served as a graduate assistant at Kentucky from 2022 to 2024. He worked with the Wildcat wide receivers and Dane Key thrived under his tutelage. Key had more than 1,300 receiving yards over the 2023 and 2024 seasons combined. In 2023, Key was one of three Kentucky receivers who had more than 500 receiving yards. Barion Brown also had more than 1,500 receiving yards in the three seasons he was coached by Verboys.
Prior to Kentucky, Verboys spent the 2021 season at Virginia Tech. He coached the wide receivers as a volunteer assistant/offensive quality control coach in the spring before moving into a graduate assistant role and coaching the cornerbacks and safeties during the season.
Verboys was a high school coach before moving into the college ranks. He was an assistant coach/pass game coordinator at Scarsdale High School in New York under his father, Andy.
Verboys played collegiately at Delaware (2016-18) and Massachusetts (2014-16). Verboys played in 24 games in three seasons with Delaware after playing in one contest in two years at Massachusetts.
