An in-season addition to the Nebraska roster, Javon Kinchen redshirted in his first season as a Husker in 2023.
Before Nebraska (Lovejoy HS)
Kinchen joined the Huskers after starring as a defensive back and wide receiver at Lovejoy High School in Georgia.
In his senior season, Kinchen recorded 34 tackles and had four interceptions and three pass breakups, according to MaxPreps. As a receiver, Kinchen caught 28 passes for 475 yards and five touchdowns. He averaged 17.0 yards per reception and more than 50 receiving yards per game.
Javon is joined on the Nebraska roster by his brother, Trevon.

Trevon was born on Oct. 12, 2003, and he is joined on Nebraska’s roster by his brother, Trevon. Javon is the son of Alexis and Giovanni Flowers, and he has two sisters, Gianni and Giavanni Flowers.
