Jacory Barney Jr. Signing Day

Jacory Barney Jr. was a versatile performer for Coach Mike Manasco at Miami Palmetto High School. A two-way player for the Panthers, he saw time on offense at quarterback, running back and wide receiver.

As a senior, Barney caught 15 passes for 135 yards and one touchdown, according to MaxPreps. He also passed for 189 yards and three touchdowns and added 100 yards rushing with one score. As an honorable-mention all-state selection as a junior, Barney had 37 receptions for 559 yards and four touchdowns, including a 91-yard touchdown. He added 217 passing yards and 184 rushing yards with four passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. In his sophomore season, Barney rushed for 67 yards and threw for 124 yards with two rushing touchdowns and one passing touchdown. He helped Palmetto to the state regional finals as a sophomore and the regional semifinals as a junior. 

Barney is rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals, which ranks him among the top 60 wide receivers in the country. He is also ranked among the nation’s top 25 athletes by 247Sports.
