Jacob Brandl redshirted in his first season at Nebraska.
Before Nebraska (Creighton Prep HS)
Brandl was an offensive lineman for Creighton Prep High School in Omaha. He earned honorable-mention all-metro honors from the Omaha World-Herald as a senior, when he helped the Junior Jays reach the semifinal of the Class A playoffs.
Brandl's play on the offensive line helped the Junior Jays rush for more than 200 yards per game in his final season while averaging more than 27 points per game. Brandl also helped Creighton Prep qualify for the state playoffs as a junior and sophomore, including a run to the quarterfinals in his sophomore campaign.
