Will DePooter redshirted in his first season at Nebraska.
Before Nebraska (Omaha Westside HS)
DePooter joined the Nebraska program after handling the long-snapping duties for Omaha Westside High School. With the Warriors, DePooter helped fellow Husker Tristan Alvano set Nebraska high school all-class records for most field goals in a game and in a season.
DePooter helped Westside to a state championship as a senior, when the Warriors won on a 45-yard field goal as time expired. Westside posted a 12-1 record in his senior season. The Warriors were 11-1 and the Class A runner-up in DePooter's junior season, while Westside went undefeated (12-0) en route to a state championship in his sophomore campaign.
