Broc Douglass redshirted in his first season at Nebraska.

Douglass had a record-setting receiving career at Grand Island High School. Douglass earned All-Nebraska honors from the Omaha World-Herald as a senior after making 60 catches for 1,016 yards and 12 touchdowns while totaling 1,481 all-purpose yards. He became the Islanders' all-time leading receiver while helping Grand Island to a 9-2 record. Douglass also totaled 46 tackles, three interceptions and two fumbles caused as a senior. Douglass caught 53 passes for 907 yards and seven touchdowns with 1,782 all-purpose yards as a junior when the Islanders were the Class A runner-up. Douglass, who added 35 tackles and nine pass breakups on defense, was a first-team all-state and second-team Super-State pick by the Lincoln Journal Star as a junior. Douglass saw varsity action for a state playoff team as a sophomore in 2017.
