Sean Beckton Jr. was promoted to a full-time position in February of 2020 with the title of developmental performance quality control. Previously, he had served as a Husker performance intern for over a year.
Beckton came to Nebraska after working as a volunteer strength coach at The Master's Academy in Florida, where he instructed secondary exercises and monitored proper core exercises. At The Master's Academy, Beckton also served as a substitute teacher and an assistant football coach. He was also an assistant track and field coach for Lake Mary Preparatory School during the 2017 season. Beckton boasts additional experience as a personal trainer for Fit Speed Athletic Performance and as an intern for Center of Recovery & Exercise.
Beckton graduated from UCF with a degree in sports and exercise in 2014. He is the son of Husker tight ends coach Sean Beckton.
