Demeitre Brim is in his fifth season on the Husker staff in 2022. He is a defensive quality control coach after previously serving as a defensive analyst in 2021 and as a graduate assistant from 2018 to 2020. One of Brim's primary assignments is to assist inside linebackers coach Barrett Ruud. Brim played for both Ruud and Nebraska Head Coach Scott Frost while Brim was a linebacker at UCF.
Brim helped Dedrick Young II set a career high in tackles as a senior in 2018, when Young concluded his career as one of the top five all-time tacklers in the history of Nebraska football. Brim also helped Mo Barry to a breakout junior season in 2018, when Barry ranked second in the Big Ten in tackles per game en route to all-conference honors. Barry repeated as an All-Big Ten pick in 2019. In 2020, Will Honas was an honorable-mention All-Big Ten selection after averaging more than eight tackles per game. In 2021, starting inside linebackers Luke Reimer and Nick Henrich - both underclassmen - led Nebraska with 108 and 99 tackles, respectively.
As a player, Brim spent three seasons at UCF after beginning his career at Virginia, where he lettered as a freshman and sophomore. While at UCF, Brim was a two-year letterwinner at middle linebacker, starting 12 games as a senior in 2016 when the Knights made a bowl game in Frost's first season. Brim also served on the UCF Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Leadership Board for Student-Athletes.
Brim earned his bachelor's degree from UCF in 2016 with an interdisciplinary studies degree in education and sociology. As a graduate assistant at Nebraska, Brim is pursuing his master's degree in higher education administration.
