2010 Outlook
Redshirt freshman Dwight Jones is expected to add depth to the Nebraska offensive line during the 2010 season. Jones spent the majority of the spring working at tackle and will look for playing time behind a talented group of returning veterans at the spot. Jones has added 35 pounds of muscle to his 6-4 frame since joining the program as a walk-on a year ago.
2009 (Redshirt)
Jones redshirted and worked on the scout team.
Before Nebraska (Gretna HS)
Jones played on both sides of the ball and was a three-year letterwinner at Gretna High School. His play helped Coach Chad Jepsen's team to state playoff appearances in 2006 and 2008. Jones was also a standout for the Dragons' basketball team. As a junior, he was an honorable-mention all-Omaha area pick after connecting on better than 61 percent of his field-goal attempts.
Personal
Dwight was born on April 1, 1990, and is the son of Doug and LeeAnn Jones. He has not declared a major. He has volunteered with Nebraska's team hospital visits and at the Northeast Family Center.
