Senior linebacker Thomas Grove provided depth in the Nebraska linebacking corps throughout his career, while also being a key member of the Husker special teams. As a senior, Grove played in all 14 games as a member of NU’s kickoff and punt coverage units. Grove is also a standout in the classroom. He earned academic All-Big 12 honors for the third straight season in 2010 and is on track to earn his degree in biological sciences in May despite not redshirting.
                     
2010 (Senior)
Grove made five tackles, including three solo stops. He made two tackles at Kansas State, and had single stops in three other games.
 

2009 (Junior)
Grove played in 13 games, and had three tackles, including a solo stop at Baylor and assisted tackles against Missouri and Texas Tech. 

2008 (Sophomore)
Grove played in all 13 games as a regular on kickoff coverage. He had an assisted tackle against Western Michigan and an unassisted stop vs. Clemson in the Gator Bowl. 

2007 (Freshman)
Grove was the only non-scholarship freshman on the fall camp roster. He was one of 11 true freshmen to see action, working on the kickoff coverage team in three games.  

Before Nebraska (Arlington HS)
Grove was a two-way standout for Coach Steven Gubbels at Arlington High School. Grove helped Arlington to an 8-2 record and a trip to the second round of the Class C-1 state playoffs in 2006. Grove rushed for 1,133 yards and 17 touchdowns as a running back. On defense, he recorded 29 tackles, two sacks and a pair of fumble recoveries from his linebacker spot. Grove was an honorable-mention Class C-1 all-state pick by the Omaha World-Herald. 

Personal
Thomas is the son of Paul and Karen Grove and was born on July 2, 1989. Grove has been named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll five times, and carries a 3.638 cumulative grade-point average. He was named to the 2010 Brook Berringer Citizenship Team for his outreach work. His volunteer activities include School is Cool Week, World War II Veteran's Night and numerous elementary school and hospital visits.
