2007 Outlook
Sophomore Nathan McBride enters the 2007 campaign hopeful of hitting the field for the first time in his Husker career. McBride will enter fall camp as a reserve long snapper behind returning starter T.J. O’Leary. An Arizona native, McBride backed up O’Leary and senior Lane Kelly last fall, but did not play in a game. A walk-on, McBride redshirted in his first year in the program.

2006 (Redshirt Freshman)
McBride was a reserve long snapper, but did not see game action.

2005 (Redshirt)
A walk-on athlete, McBride redshirted in his first season with the Huskers.

Before Nebraska (Chaparral HS)
McBride played on a state championship team at Chaparral High School in 2002, and added an East Sky Region championship his junior year. McBride lettered all four years in football and once in track. Former Nebraska nose guard John Reinhardt, who lettered at NU in 1983 and 1984, was defensive coach at Chapparal from 1999 to 2001, including McBride’s freshman year.

McBride is the son of Steve and Cathy McBride, and was born on March 27, 1987. He is majoring in communication studies, and has volunteered with the Lincoln Action Program, the People’s City Mission and as part of Nebraska’s hospital visits.
