Brock Pasteur Season 2005

2006 Outlook
After sitting out as a redshirt in his first season at Nebraska, Brock Pasteur (pronounced pas-TOUR) is hopeful of earning playing time on the offensive line this fall. Pasteur will enter fall camp listed as a reserve on the offensive line, and has the versatility to play both guard and tackle. Pasteur has the frame to fit Nebraska’s offensive line profile at 6-6 and 290 pounds and is one of the strongest players on the Nebraska roster. He came to Nebraska after two seasons at Mesabi Range College in Minnesota.

Before Nebraska (University/Mesabi Range College)
Pasteur was one of two junior college offensive line prospects in the 2005 recruiting class. He spent two seasons at Mesabi Range Central and Technical College in Virginia, Minn. Pasteur started at left tackle each of his two seasons for Coach Jeff Weisner at Mesabi Range, and helped his team to a 19-2 record over two seasons. Pasteur earned honorable-mention NJCAA All-America honors in 2004, and was a JC Gridwire Preseason All-American.

A native of Orlando, Fla., Pasteur starred at University High School. He received three letters for weightlifting and two in track and field. He originally committed to Central Florida out of high school. He only visited Nebraska, but also received strong interest from North Carolina State, East Carolina and Central Florida.

Personal
Pasteur is the son of Marie Pasteur, and was born on Nov. 23, 1983. He is majoring in sociology.
