Career
Greg McGraw appeared in 29 games throughout his collegiate career. He finished with eight tackles (four solo) and as a member of Nebraska's 1995 and 1997 national championship teams.
1999 (Senior)
McGraw entered his senior season as an experienced backup, having seen action in each of the previous three years, as he would back up returning free safety Clint Finley. McGraw played in every game and recorded two solo tackles on the year. He'd make an appearance in the 2000 Fiesta Bowl against Tennessee, but did not record a tackle.
1998 (Junior)
McGraw played in every regular-season game, plus the Holiday Bowl against Arizona, as a backup free safety behind Finley. He had three tackles (one solo), one each against UAB, Kansas and Missouri. He was a member of the Huskers' No. 1 kickoff coverage team and No. 2 punt return team. He did not have any tackles in the bowl game.
1997 (Sophomore)
McGraw played in two games at free safety and had two tackles (one solo), one each against Akron and Iowa State.
1996 (Freshman)
McGraw played in three games and recorded one assisted tackle against Colorado State from his free safety position.
1995 (Redshirt)
A walk-on, McGraw redshirted his first season in Lincoln.
Before Nebraska (Millville High School)
McGraw was a four-year letterman playing defensive back and wide receiver for Coach Tony Surace. As a senior, McGraw had 50 tackles, two interceptions (one for a touchdown) and 22 pass breakups. He served as co-captain, was the Millville defensive back of the year and was named the Brooks Irvine Scholar Athlete. He assisted his team to the Division 3 championship in 1995. He also lettered three years in track.
Personal
The son of Greg, Sr. and Gladis McGraw, Greg, Jr., was born April 12, 1977, in Cape May, N.J. Greg majored in secondary education/social science and earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2000.
