Nick Gragert (pronounced GRAY-gert) provided depth for the Huskers as a walk-on fullback behind starter Judd Davies, Steve Kriewald, and Paul Kastl.  A solid student, Gragert earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors in 2001 and graduated in May 2002.

In 2001, Gragert played in four games (TCU, Troy State, Rice and Kansas).  He had one carry for a three-yard gain vs. Kansas.  He also had one solo tackle against Troy State.

Gragert played in two games in 2000, but did not have any carries.  In 1999, Gragert saw action in one game, but did not have any rushes.  He had his first carry, a three-yard run, against Washington in 1998 after redshirting in 1997.
