A hard-hitting four-year player for the Huskers, Clint Finley saw action at both free safety and rover, starting at least one game each season from 1997 to 2000.  Finley started one game at free safety in 1997, the last six games at free safety in 1998 and the first eight in 1999.  He backed up both free safety Dion Booker and rover Joe Walker in 2000, spending most of his time at rover.  As a senior, he started vs. Texas Tech, when NU opened in a penny package.  A solid student, Finley earned honorable-mention academic All-Big 12 honors in 1998, was named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll in 1999, and graduated in May 2001.

He recorded a career-high 28 tackles as a sophomore in 1998 and finished his career with 91 total stops.  Finley also intercepted four passes in his career, including one for a touchdown against Colorado in 1998.
