As a senior in 2000, Chace Long handled Nebraska's kickoffs in 10 games, starting in nine contests (all except Notre Dame and Missouri).  On the season, Long allowed opponents to return 40 of his 69 kickoffs for 511 yards (12.8 average per return), while 29 were touchbacks (42 percent).  Long also had three solo tackles on kickoff coverage, making touchdown saving tackles vs. Missouri, Texas Tech and Baylor.  In 1999, Long saw action in two games behind Josh Brown.  He was successful on the only PAT attempt of his career against California in 1999.  He also kicked off twice as a redshirt freshman in 1997.
