Career

Josh Cobb finished his collegiate career with 78 yards on 21 rushing attempts and two touchdowns. He did not return to the team for his senior year, pursuing other interests.

1997 (Junior)

Cobb played in seven games as a junior, earning his second letter. He rushed six times for 27 yards and one touchdown. Cobb had a career-best run of 16 against Baylor. His lone touchdown of the year came in the waning minutes of the Iowa State game when he scored from one-yard out to put the Huskers up 77-14.

1996 (Sophomore)

Cobb played in eight games as a sophomore and earned his first letter. He rushed 12 times for 43 yards and scored once on a five-yard run against Kansas. He had a season-best three carries three times (3-18 against Colorado State, 3-11 against Baylor, and 3-6 against Kansas). He averaged 3.6 yards per play. He had a long run of nine yards against Colorado State. He did not play in the last three games of the season.

1995 (Freshman)

Cobb played in four games and rushed three times for eight yards (1-2 against Pacific, 2-6 against Iowa State).

1994 (Redshirt)

A walk-on, Cobb redshirted his first year.

Wallace High School

Cobb played six-man football for his hometown team in Wallace, one of the few remaining six-man teams in the state. Cobb played in the 1994 Nebraska Shrine Bowl.

Personal

The son of Richard and Karen Cobb, Josh was born Feb. 26, 1976.
