Career

Jim Tansey joined the Huskers in 1995 as a walk-on offensive tackle. He redshirted his first year in Lincoln and did not see playing time his redshirt-freshman season. He played in one game as a sophomore and two as a junior before deciding to pursue other interests following the 1998 season. Tansey left Nebraska as a member of its 1995 and 1997 national championship teams.

Tansey came to NU after playing previously at Cranford High in Cranford, New Jersey.
