Career

Darren Brummond joined the Huskers in 1994 as a walk-on outside linebacker. He redshirted his first year in Lincoln and made appeared in two games (Arizona State, Pacific) as a redshirt freshman, recording a quarterback hurry. Following the 1995 season, Brummond decided to pursue other interests. He left as a member of Nebraska's back-to-back national championship teams.

Originally from North Platte, Neb., Brummond played football for Cherry Creek High in Englewood, Colo.
