  • Member of Two Nebraska National Championship Teams (1995, 1997)

Career

Brandon Drum appeared in 13 games throughout his Husker career. Before off-the-field issues removed him from the team, he finished with three assisted tackles, two forced fumbles and a quarterback hurry.

1997 (Sophomore)

Drum appeared in nine games as a backup defensive tackle to Jason Peter. Drum recorded two assisted tackles, force a fumble and had one quarterback hurry before off-the-field issues removed him from the team.

1996 (Freshman)

Drum played in four games and recorded one assisted tackle (in the season opener against Michigan State). He also forced a fumble, as he earned his first letter playing behind Peter and Scott Saltsman.

1995 (Redshirt)

A walk-on athlete, Drum redshirted his first year in Lincoln.

Columbus Scotus High School

A talented two-way performer, Drum was named an All-Nebraska offensive lineman the past two seasons and was a Lincoln Journal Star Super-State offensive lineman in 1994. As a defensive tackle for Coach Jim Puetz, Drum had 28 solo stops and 33 assists as a senior with four sacks. Offensively, he broke the school career record grading out to a 1.84 in 400 minutes played (on a 2.0 scale) his last two years. Also a top student, Drum scored a 26 on the ACT test. He earned Bluechip Illustrated All-America and SuperPrep All-Midlands region honors as an offensive lineman. Drum earned all-state honors defensively as a junior and led his team to an 8-4 record in 1994 and to a perfect 13-0 record and a state championship his junior year. Drum also threw the shot and discus with a best throw of 51-10 in the shot at the state track meet as a senior.

The son of Greg and Denette Drum, Brandon was born on Sept. 18, 1976.
