1993: Harris played in every game in 1993 and started one against Colorado State. He was listed as a first teamer along with Alberts, Jones and Bruce Moore. With an undefeated seaon on the line, Harris stepped in for All-America Trev ALberts, who after nine plays was forced out of the OU game with a dislocated elbow. Harris recorded a career high seven tackles, including three sacks. He also had four quarterback hurries and caused Gundy to throw an errant pass into the hands of NU defender Toby Wright for an interception to set up NU's first score which tied the game 7-7. Harris had 22 tackles (14 solo), was second only to Alberts with eight sacks for 41-yards lost and had one other tackles for a 4-yard loss. He had two pass breakups and 14 quarterback hurries. In the 1994 Federal express Orange Bowl against Florida State, Harris had just one tackle but it was a 7-yard sack of Heisman winner Charlie Ward. He also hurried Ward four times causing incomplete passes.

1992: A scholarship athlete, Harris played in eight games as a reserve outside linebacker on the left side. He tallied four tackles, caused one fumble and broke up a pass.

1991: Sat out the 1991 season.

At Jess Lanier HS: A USA Today prep All-American, Harris had 91 total tackles and 12 quarterback sacks in 1990 to lead Coach Carrol Cox's team to the Alabama large-school state championship. He had 167 solo tackles and more than 20 sacks in his prep career in which he was a two-time all-state performer. Also he caught 10 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown from the tight end posaition and had two carries for 56 yards as a fullback. Harris was named the most valuable player in the state championship game. He also lettered in basketball and was a state qualifier in track as a junior.

Personal: The son of Walter Harris and Jessie Harris, Dwayne was born on Dec. 13, 1972. He has three brothers (Lee, Walter and Lemonte) and one sister, Beatrice. He majored in human developement and has served as a volunteer mentor in the Teammates program and participated in the 1994 Best of America "School is Cool" Jam.
