Member of Nebraska’s 1994 National Championship Team

1994 (Senior)
Scott Davenport earned his first letter as a senior I-back in 1994. He played in 10 regular-season games for the Big Red and recorded nine carries for 36 yards on the year. He helped the Huskers to an undefeated regular season and a Big Eight Championship. Nebraska went on to a 24-17 win over Miami in the 1995 Federal Express Orange Bowl.

For his career, Davenport played in 17 games, totaling 14 carries for 47 yards.

1993 (Junior)
Davenport appeared in three games and had four carries for eight yards on the season, helping Nebraska to an undefeated regular season and its second straight Big Eight title. The Huskers lost 18-16 to Florida State in the 1994 Federal Express Orange Bowl national championship game.

1992 (Sophomore)
Davenport saw his first varsity action, playing in four games on the season to help the Huskers to a Big Eight title. He had one carry for three yards against Oklahoma State.

1991 (Redshirt)
A walk-on, Davenport redshirted in his second season at Nebraska.

1990 (Freshman)
Davenport was a member of the Nebraska JV team in 1990, totaling 12 carries for 71 yards, including a five-yard touchdown against the Air Force JV.

Port Chester High School
Davenport was a running back and outside linebacker at Port Chester High School for Coach Richard Albanizio. He totaled 2,500 yards in four years and earned all-county, all-league and all-section honors.

Personal
Scott and his wife Adrienne have two children, Maggie and John Scott II. A human development major, Davenport graduated from Nebraska in May 1995.
