1994 (Sophomore)
Sims was a non-letter winner during his second season at Nebraska. Sims helped Nebraska claim the NCAA rushing title (340.0 ypg), while ranking fifth in total offense (477.8 ypg) and sixth in scoring offense (36.3 ppg).
1993 (Freshman)
Sims was unable to compete early in the season after he suffered a left knee injury in the spring which required major reconstructive surgery. Sims later returned to practice in October and played in two games, Missouri and Iowa State. Sims also one solo tackle on special teams.
1992 (Redshirt)
Sims redshirted his first season as a Husker.
Apple Valley HS
Sims was a Parade All-American and a two-time all-state running back for Coach Paul Miller. As a junior Sims ran for 1,500 yards and 1,100 yards as a senior. He led Apple Valley High School to a combined 20-3 record over his last two seasons. Sims was a state medalist sprinter finishing second in the 100-meter dash as a senior. Sims received offers from Iowa, Michigan State and Wisconsin.

Marvin is the son of Linda and Adolph Hill, He was born in Minneapolis and was majoring in Human Development and Family.
