Member of Nebraska’s 1994 National Championship Team
1994 (Senior)
Jason Fisher played in one game as a senior Sam linebacker for the Huskers in 1994. He helped Nebraska claim the 1994 national championship after defeating Miami 24-17 in the 1995 Federal Express Orange Bowl. The Huskers also won the Big Eight title after posting an unbeaten regular season.
1993 (Junior)
A transfer from Western Kentucky, Fisher earned a varsity letter for the Huskers after switching from I-back to linebacker. He played in three games in 1993 and recorded a pair of assisted tackles.
1992 (Redshirt)
Fisher sat out the 1992 season as a redshirt after transferring to Nebraska from Western Kentucky.
Overton High School
Fisher played strong safety and running back for Coach Doug Mulligan at Overton High School in Antioch, Tenn. He rushed for 1,064 yards on 87 carries to earn second-team all-state honors as a senior.
Personal
The son of Dorothy Fisher and Robert Fisher, Jason majored in sociology at Nebraska. He graduated from Nebraska in May 1995.
