1993 (Senior)
Playing in ten games during the regular season, Gray had three tackles on the year, including one solo tackle.

1992 (Junior)
A driving force on Nebraska’s kickoff teams, Gray also saw more action in 1992 at the outside linebacker position, backing up Travis Hill, Donta Jones, and David Leader on the left side. Playing in all 11 games plus the Federal Express Orange Bowl vs. Florida State (no tackles), Gray recorded 15 tackles (10 solo) and one for an 8-yard loss on the season.

1991 (Sophomore)
Gray played in all 11 regular-season games, and posted 13 total tackles (three solo). In the Orange Bowl against Miami, he had three unassisted tackles, all on special teams.

1990 (Redshirt)
Redshirted in his second year at Nebraska.

1989 (Freshman)
After walking on, Gray became the starting right outside linebacker on the junior varsity team in the second half of the season and finished as the team’s seventh leading tackler with 17 total stops (13 unassisted) in the five-game season, including a team-high three sacks for 30 yards lost.

Nebraska Nebraska (At Owego Free Academy)
Gray was a four-year letterman at fullback and linebacker for Coach Mark Decker at Owego Free Academy in Owego N.Y. and was named to the Southern Tier Athletic Conference all-star team. He also lettered twice in wrestling.

Personal
The son of Nancy Minturn and Tom Gray, Lance was born June 14, 1970, at Binghampton, N.Y. He has two sister, Suzanne and Allison. Gray majored in construction management and earned his degree prior to the start of the ’94 season. He was a volunteer part of several Husker outreach programs, including the Friendship Home Footsteps and the Omaha Youth Rap sessions.
