1994 (Senior)
Clint Brown served as Nebraska’s No. 2 Sam linebacker behind starter Troy Dumas for the unbeaten national champion Huskers. Brown played in every game except Oklahoma. He also earned a start against Oklahoma State to help the Big Red capture the Big Eight Conference title and a berth in the 1995 Federal Express Orange Bowl national championship game. Brown notched 18 tackles, including eight solos on the season. He had one tackle for one yard lost, recovered one fumble and snagged an interception to go along with a quarterback hurry.
A two-time letterwinner as a Husker, Brown played in 15 regular-season over his final three seasons in Lincoln, including one career start. He finished with 20 career tackles, including nine solos and 11 assists.
1993 (Junior)
Brown played in three games as a junior to earn his first varsity letter at Nebraska. He recorded an unassisted tackle in a win over North Texas to help the Huskers to an undefeated regular season, a second straight Big Eight title, and an appearance in the 1994 Federal Express Orange Bowl against Florida State.
1992 (Sophomore)
Brown made the first appearance of his college career and recorded one assisted tackle against Oklahoma State. He helped the Big Red to the Big Eight title.
1991 (Redshirt)
Brown redshirted in his second season at Nebraska.
1990 (Freshman)
A walk-on, Brown played with the Nebraska JV team, recording eight tackles (one solo) over five games to help the Huskers to a 4-1 record. He had one tackle for an 11-yard loss.
Arlington High School
Brown played running back, linebacker, wingback, free safety and punter for Coach Brian Moeller at Arlington High School. Brown led Arlington to the state playoffs his senior year in 1989 by rushing for 888 yards and recording 121 tackles. He earned Class C-1 all-state honors in football and was honorable-mention all-state accolades in basketball. He also lettered four times in track, placing third in the 400 meters, fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 200 at the state track meet as a senior. For his efforts, he was named Arlington’s Athlete of the Year.
Personal
The son of Michelle Brown and Tom Brown, Clint majored in secondary education/biology at Nebraska. He earned a CFA/Hitachi Promise of Tomorrow Scholarship worth $5,000.
