1994 (Senior)
Brady Caskey played in every game at left tackle behind starter Rob Zatechka in 1994. Caskey was part of the Nebraska “Pipeline” offensive line that powered the Big Red to the NCAA rushing title by averaging 340.0 yards per game. The Huskers also ranked fifth nationally in total offense (477.8 ypg) and sixth in scoring offense (36.3 ppg). Caskey helped the Huskers to a 13-0 record and a national title after Nebraska defeated Miami 24-17 in the 1995 Federal Express Orange Bowl. NU also claimed its third consecutive Big Eight title.
Caskey earned three varsity letters in his career and played in 25 regular-season games and the 1995 Orange Bowl.
1993 (Junior)
Caskey was a reserve left tackle behind All-Big Eight performer Lance Lundberg for the Big Red as a junior, helping Nebraska to an unbeaten regular season and a second straight Big Eight championship. The Huskers dropped a narrow 18-16 decision to Florida State in the 1994 Federal Express Orange Bowl national championship game. Caskey played in nine games on the year and aided NU to the Big Eight rushing title by averaging 287.9 yards per game, which ranked third nationally.
1992 (Sophomore)
Caskey played in four games as a reserve right tackle as a sophomore for the Huskers. He played behind Zach Wiegert and Joel Gesky.
1991 (Redshirt)
Caskey redshirted in his second season at Nebraska in 1991.
1990 (Freshman)
A walk-on, Caskey was the starting left guard on the Nebraska’s JV team’s offensive line, helping the squad to a 4-1 record.
Stanton High School
A three-sport athlete at Stanton High School, Caskey was a Class C-1 all-state offensive lineman for Coach Tom Kerkman. Caskey also won the Class C-1 state shot put championship. He lettered four times each in football and track and field, while adding three letters in basketball.
Personal
The son of Charles and Rae Caskey, Brady was born in Lincoln, Neb. He has two brothers, Chris and Drew, and two sisters, Dana and Blair. A business administration major, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Nebraska in December 1994.
