A three-year letterman, Dave Jensen served as a backup at left offensive tackle to Lance Lundberg and Rob Zatechka after switching from guard to tackle in the spring of 1992. Jensen played six games as a senior and helped the Huskers claim their third NCAA rushing title (328.2 ypg) in the last four years and their 10th in program history. Nebraska ranked second nationally in scoring offense (38.8 ppg) on its way to the Big Eight title and a trip to the 1993 Federal Express Orange Bowl against Florida State.

Jensen played in 23 regular-season games with three starts in his Husker career, after missing his first two seasons at Nebraska with injuries.

1991 (Junior)
Jensen started three games at offensive guard and saw action in eight games overall to help Nebraska win the NCAA rushing title (353.2 ypg), while helping the Big Red to a share of the Big Eight title and a trip to the 1992 Federal Express Orange Bowl against Miami. Nebraska also ranked third nationally in both total offense (506.5 ypg) and scoring (41.3 ppg).

1988 (Redshirt)
A scholarship recruit as a defensive lineman, Jensen redshirted in his first year on campus after tearing a ligament in his thumb that required surgery.

Omaha Creighton Prep High School
A first-team All-America selection by Bally, a second-team USA Today All-American and the Gatorade Nebraska Lineman of the Year in 1987, Jensen helped Coach Tom Jaworski’s Junior Jays to a 34-2 record and three consecutive Class A state championships from 1985 to 1987. As a defensive tackle, Jensen had 62 unassisted tackles as a senior, including 14 TFLs. He also broke up three passes. Jensen played tight end for the Junior Jays and lettered in track.
