1990 (Senior)
Tyrance led Nebraska for the second straight year as the Huskers' weak-side linebacker and finished as the 12th-leading tackler in Nebraska history with 208 total stops. He had 98 total tackles, 25 more than All-America tackle Kenny Walker, who was second on the team with 73. Tyrance finished with the top three tackle games of his career--14 against Colorado, 13 at Kansas and 14 at Oklahoma. Against eventual national champion Colorado, he also caused two fumbles and enabled teammate Mike Petko to get an interception when his pass rush forced CU quarterback Darian Hagan to throw a pass off-line. Tyrance led the Huskers in tackles five times during the season, and shared the squad lead on one other occasion. He was named Big Eight defensive player-of-the-week with a 12-tackle performance against Baylor. In addition, he forced a fumble at the goal line early in the fourth quarter to perserve a 6-0 NU lead.
1989 (Junior)
Nebraska's leading tackler, Tyrance was also one of three Huskers (with quarterback Gerry Gdowski and center Jake Young) to be named All-Big Eight both on the field and in the classroom. He piled up 74 total tackles, 15 more than runner-up strong safety Reggie Cooper. along with five tackles for loss and seven hurries. He started the season with a pair of 10-tackle efforts against Northern Illinois and Utah, and later led the Huskers in tackles against Oregon State (eight) and Kansas State (six). He also had big games against Colorado (seven tackles) and in the season finale against Oklahoma (eight tackles).
1988 (Sophomore)
Tyrance played in all 12 regular-season games along with the Orange Bowl. He finished the year wtih 36 total tackles in the regular-season. He started the first five games before giving way to Chris Caliendo, but continued to see considerable playing time.

1986 (Freshman)
A scholarship recruit, Tyrance was the strong-side linebacker on the 4-1 freshman team, and tied for sixth on the squad in tackles with 23.
At Millard North HS
An honorable-mention all-state selection for coach Fred Petito, he had 117 total tackles as a senior in 1985 and led the Mustangs into the state playoffs. At tight end, he caught eight passes for 140 yards.
