1990 (Senior)
Le Andre Anderson was a significant contributor to Nebraska’s defense as a senior in 1990. The 260-pound defensive tackle played in all 11 regular-season games, including his second career start in the win over Northern Illinois when he notched six tackles. Anderson totaled 29 tackles, including 10 solos. He posted four TFLs (7 yards), including a one-yard sack against Missouri. He also caused one fumble and registered five quarterback hurries on the season. Anderson added three tackles (one solo), including a TFL for one yard against Georgia Tech in the Florida Citrus Bowl. He helped the Blackshirts rank seventh nationally in scoring defense (13.4 ppg) and total defense (263.5 ypg).
A two-year letterman, Anderson played in 18 career regular-season and made 37 total tackles (15 solos) with seven TFLs (32 yards), including four sacks (26 yards). He added five QB hurries and caused one fumble.
1989 (Junior)
Anderson earned his first varsity letter while playing as a reserve in five regular-season games at defensive tackle. He also played in the 1990 Sunkist Fiesta Bowl against Florida State. Anderson got his first career start when All-Big Eight senior Kent Wells was sidelined with a nagging knee injury against Oregon State. Anderson finished the OSU game with two tackles – both of them sacks for 17 yards lost. He was a key in NU holding the Beavers to minus-36 rushing yards on the day. Anderson finished the regular season with eight total tackles, including three sacks (25 yards). He added one unassisted tackle against the Seminoles in the Fiesta Bowl. As a team, Nebraska ranked eighth nationally in total defense (274.1 ypg) on the season.
1988 (Sophomore)
Anderson saw his first varsity action in wins over Utah State and UNLV, but he did not record a defensive stat.
1987 (Freshman)
Anderson led the freshman team with 29 total tackles, including 19 solos, while starting at right tackle on the defensive line. His performance on the freshman team helped him earn a scholarship after originally joining the Huskers as a walk-on.
1986 (Redshirt)
A walk-on to the Nebraska program from Chicago, Anderson redshirted in his first year in Lincoln.
Fenger High School
A four-year letterman while playing both defensive tackle and offensive guard for Coach Gregg Brooks at Fenger High School in Chicago, Anderson also earned four letters as a wrestler. Nebraska defensive coordinator Charlie McBride served as Fenger’s head football coach in the mid-1960s. McBride was Anderson’s position coach at Nebraska.

The son of Sadie Anderson, Le Andre has two brothers and two sisters. He was born in Chicago.
